Is Movies Capital a scam? Surprisingly, no. I personally don't know how they can give you so much for so cheap, but they are definitely not a scam.
For those of you who don't know, Movies Capital is an alternative to the newer movie streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime and RedBox Instant. Instead of streaming they offer unlimited downloads, which can be downloaded to devices such as PC's, mobile devices and now tablets. Also because you are downloaded the actual movie file itself, you are able to burn it to disc which then enables you to watch the movie on devices which don't have any Internet access. Maybe you have a good old home cinema which doesn't have a SmartTV.
Movies Capital gives you much better control over what you do with their content. Obviously you are not allowed to re-distribute the movies, that would be illegal, but since you have the raw movie file, the more computer literate folk can do many things such as create cut down versions for your iTouch or older iPod video device. This then makes the service ideal for the keen traveller, since you can watch the movie offline while on a plane without having to pay the high cost of getting each movie separately on iTunes or similar services.
Lastly, the best thing about Movies Capital is the price. Their best value for money package is the VIP 2 years unlimited downloads, which is a one off cost of $39.99. The means you get unlimited downloads with the features mentioned above for as little as under $2 a month. The streaming services cannot even come close to that!
